What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Associate position at Cannabliss Dispensary?
As a Sales Associate, you will guide customers in selecting hemp-derived products that meet their needs while fostering a welcoming and informative shopping experience. This is a full-time (32 hours/week) role that requires weekend availability.
This position is ideal for someone who loves connecting with people to educate and support them in the selection process.
Ideally an offer will be made Mid-March which a start date shortly after. A training period of one month is required, all of which is paid time (typically 24-32 hours/week). Upon successful completion of training and mutual agreement between Bliss and hire, an employment offer letter will be presented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Education:
- Educate customers about a variety of hemp-derived products, strains, appropriate dosing, and safety measures when consuming cannabis.
- Inform customers of ongoing specials, discounts, and promotions.
- Customer Service:
- Build genuine connections with guests to provide personalized and exceptional service.
- Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while addressing customer questions or concerns.
- Store Operations:
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures and transaction accuracy.
- Complete daily opening and closing tasks, including organizing and cleaning the store.
- Assist with store maintenance, including stocking shelves, cleaning, and pre-packing products.
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized workstation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass any required background checks.
- Retail experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform grasping, walking, standing, talking, and repetitive motions.
- Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods.
- Exposure to moderate noise levels, artificial lighting, and prolonged use of office equipment such as computers and phones.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems like Square.
- Experience with team-focused tools such as Slack and Square Teams.
- Personal interest and curiosity about plant medicine.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in close proximity with others.
- Excellent customer service, listening, and communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized with strong multitasking abilities.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The starting pay for this position is $18/hour
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
- 2 days/month (24 days/year) of PTO
