Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service with a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Assist shoppers by answering questions about products, store policies, and promotions to enhance their shopping experience
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts
- Restock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is well-maintained and visually appealing through effective merchandising and stocking
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, assisting with inventory counts, and organizing back stock
- Engage in retail math tasks such as calculating discounts, totals, and change to ensure accurate transactions
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual environment is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, discounts, and product pricing calculations
- Experience with POS systems or familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are a bonus for supporting team efforts
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, standing for extended periods, and lifting moderate loads
