Budtender

Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cannabis products, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to educate customers about our offerings. This role involves assisting customers in selecting products, managing sales transactions, and maintaining a welcoming retail environment. Previous experience in retail sales, grocery stores, or similar customer-facing roles is highly valued. Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse clientele.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service
• Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their needs and preferences
• Educate customers on product effects, consumption methods, and proper usage
• Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions including cash handling and credit card processing
• Upsell products and promote new or featured items to maximize sales opportunities
• Conduct product demos when appropriate to enhance customer knowledge and engagement
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
• Manage inventory levels through stock checks and reporting low stock items
• Ensure the retail space is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Handle cashier responsibilities including basic math calculations for transactions and providing receipts

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales, grocery store, or similar customer service roles preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures
• Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and engage customers effectively
• Bilingual skills are a plus for serving a diverse customer base
• Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team
• Knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn through training sessions
• Ability to perform basic retail math calculations accurately
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally
• Demonstrated ability to upsell products and promote merchandise effectively
• Strong organizational skills for merchandising, stocking, and inventory management

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
