Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Summer Camp Counselor located in Barrington, IL. The Camp Counselor will be responsible for facilitating activities and providing a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for campers. Daily tasks will include organizing and leading recreational activities, supervising campers, ensuring their safety, and fostering positive interactions among participants. The counselor will also act as a role model, demonstrating leadership and teamwork, and may assist with program planning and implementation as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in camp operation or youth programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with campers and team members
- Certifications or experience in Lifeguarding or similar safety roles is a plus
- Background or interest in education, teaching, or coaching
- Ability to work on-site at the Barrington, IL location
- Energetic, patient, and dedicated to creating a positive experience for children
