Responsibilities
- Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes
- Ensure that entrances, grounds, and parking lot are kept clean, clear and safe including:
- Property & grounds cleanup
- Grass cutting and edging
- Seasonal snow and debris removal
- Maintain appropriate checklists, records and reports with respect to:
- Change room cleanliness
- Window cleanliness
- Washroom cleaning checklist
- Shower cleaning checklist
- Parking lot & property cleaning checklist
- Perform vacuuming, auto scrubbing, waxing and buffing in line with established floor care procedures
- Assist with minor maintenance as required
- Assist in Ice Maintenance during peak periods, short staffing or as required
- Completed high school education or equivalent is an asset
- Valid driverâ€s license an asset
- Building Service Worker Certificate (BC)
- Previous experience as a commercial buildings janitor (preferred)\
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends and call outs)
- Approachable and team orientated with great communication skills (verbal and written)
