Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and horticulture. This role involves various tasks related to lawn care, gardening, and hardscape installation, ensuring that our clients' outdoor spaces are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various landscaping projects.
- Conduct tree care activities such as tree trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage.
- Operate excavators and other machinery for construction and landscaping projects as needed.
- Implement snow plowing services during winter months to maintain accessibility for clients.
- Collaborate with team members on hardscape projects, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Provide general gardening services, including planting flowers, shrubs, and trees while adhering to best horticultural practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly stored after use.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating landscaping equipment.
- Familiarity with lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance practices is essential.
- Experience in gardening and horticulture is preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
