Responsibilities

• Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments using proper restraint techniques
• Perform bathing, drying, brushing, trimming, and grooming services to meet each pet’s individual needs
• Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, workstations, and bathing areas to ensure a hygienic environment
• Monitor dogs during grooming for signs of stress or discomfort and respond appropriately
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming procedures and aftercare instructions.

Skills

• Experience with pet grooming, dog handling, and animal restraint techniques
• Knowledge of dog training methods and veterinary procedures is highly desirable
• Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles adds valuable insight into animal health and safety
• Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage dogs safely during grooming sessions
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for bathing tubs or equipment setup
• Excellent customer service skills to engage pet owners positively
• Familiarity with pet sitting, kennel management, or animal care environments enhances your suitability for the role
