Dog Groomer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations.

Duties

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of pets.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
• Handle pets safely and compassionately during grooming sessions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and any concerns observed during grooming.
• Provide basic animal care as needed, including feeding and monitoring behavior.
• Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services.

Skills

• Proficiency in pet grooming techniques with experience in various breeds.
• Strong dog handling skills to ensure safety for both the groomer and the pet.
• Knowledge of animal care practices, including basic veterinary assistance if necessary.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment.
• Experience with dog training or animal behavior is a plus.
• Familiarity with equine care can be beneficial but is not required.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members.
• A background in veterinary technician or kennel management is advantageous.
