Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Attendant to join our team! This role is vital in providing exceptional care and comfort to our canine friends and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all dogs and clients alike. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal welfare, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle animals with care and professionalism. Prior experience in kennel operations or dog training is valued but not required.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize kennels, crates, and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment
- Feed, water, and monitor the dogs and their behavior throughout their stay
- Provide basic pet grooming services such as bathing, brushing, or nail trimming as needed
- Handle animals gently during drop off, pick up, or daily activities, ensuring proper handling techniques are used
- Assisting our trainers during training sessions
- Heavy lifting of animals or supplies may be necessary; candidates should be physically capable of performing such tasks
Experience
- Prior experience in dog training or kennel operations is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of animal handling and basic pet care practices is essential
- Strong customer service skills are important for interacting with pet owners and visitors
This role requires a compassionate attitude toward dogs of all breeds, attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
