Duties
- Safely operate box trucks with manual transmission to deliver goods across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety.
- Verify delivery addresses, check shipment documentation, and ensure accurate loading and unloading procedures.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting routine inspections before and after each shift.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
- Plan efficient routes to maximize delivery productivity while adhering to scheduled timelines.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, courier, or delivery driver with a focus on route driving.
- Hands-on experience with box trucks or similar heavy vehicles with manual transmission.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including loading/unloading, heavy lifting, and moving goods.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Valid driver's license suitable for commercial driving; driver certification is a plus.
- Prior experience working in fast-paced environments requiring route planning and punctuality.
