Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, providing support and guidance to help them succeed academically and socially.
Duties:
- Support students with developmental disabilities in various educational settings under the direction or a licensed intervention specialist.
- Assist in implementing behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed
- Help students with academic tasks, including math and other subjects
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably in a preschool or childcare setting
- Knowledge of special education practices and principles
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a private school setting is a plus
