Duties
- Maintain golf course turf by mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilizing to promote healthy growth and optimal playability
- Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues with sprinklers and controllers
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, mulching, and fertilizing greens, fairways, and surrounding landscapes
- Use hand tools such as trimmers, shovels, rakes, chainsaws, and power tools safely and effectively for various groundskeeping activities
- Conduct equipment maintenance on mowers, chainsaws, blowers, and other groundskeeping machinery to ensure reliable operation
- Assist with heavy lifting of materials such as soil bags, mulch bags, sod rolls or landscape stones while adhering to manual handling safety protocols
- Operate company vehicles for transportation around the course or to supply storage areas as needed
Experience
- Prior experience in golf course groundskeeping or athletic field maintenance is highly desirable
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including gardening and horticulture principles
- Hands-on experience operating grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, power trimmers, and aerators
- Understanding of pesticide management procedures and safety standards for chemical application
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail with excellent manual handling skills to ensure high-quality course presentation
