Join the Housekeeping team at Canebrake Country Club! We are looking for a detail-oriented, hard-working, and reliable Housekeeper.The Housekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring cleanliness, presentation, and overall guest experience throughout the Club’s various facilities, including the Main Clubhouse, Tennis Facility, and Pool Area. This position requires a dependable individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and attention to detail, while demonstrating professionalism in all member and staff interactions.
Responsibilities:
- General Cleaning & Sanitation:
- Perform daily cleaning of all assigned areas, including but not limited to public spaces, restrooms, locker areas, hallways, lounges, and offices.
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, elevator buttons, and countertops on a regular basis to maintain health and safety standards.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and décor elements to ensure all spaces are visually appealing and welcoming.
- Floor & Surface Maintenance:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or scrub floors using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Spot clean stains and spills promptly to prevent damage and maintain aesthetics.
- Monitor floors and address slippery floors immediately, particularly on rainy or humid days.
- Restroom Maintenance:
- Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, counters, mirrors, and floors.
- Refill soap dispensers, toilet paper, hand towels, and other consumables consistently throughout the day.
- Monitor and report any plumbing issues or supply shortages immediately.
- Linen & Towel Service:
- Collect, launder, fold, and restock towels and linens or collaborate with another staff member to keep clean towels available in applicable member-use areas such as locker rooms, poolside, and fitness or spa areas.
- Ensure all linen storage areas are neat and organized.
- Window & Fixture Cleaning:
- Clean interior and accessible exterior windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces for a streak-free shine.
- Wipe down light fixtures and vents as needed. Consult with Clubhouse Mechanic for hard-to-reach spaces.
- Trash & Recycling Management:
- Empty trash cans and recycling bins regularly across all facilities.
- Replace liners and transport waste to designated disposal or recycling areas.
- Monitor for odors or overflow and address immediately.
- Supply & Equipment Management:
- Use all cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly per manufacturer guidelines.
- Notify Office Manager of items that need to be ordered or of malfunctioning equipment that must be replaced.
- Ensure all housekeeping carts, storage closets, and supply areas are clean, organized, and secure at all times.
- Event & Party Support:
- Assist in setting up, maintaining, and breaking down event spaces for private parties, club functions, or member events as requested.
- Ensure event areas remain clean and presentable during functions and return them to original condition afterward.
- Member Service & Communication:
- Respond promptly and courteously to member requests, feedback, or special cleaning needs.
- Communicate with management about any member complaints, unusual occurrences, or service opportunities.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance and wear the designated attire while on duty (scrubs).
- Safety & Maintenance Reporting:
- Report broken equipment, unsafe conditions, or needed repairs to the appropriate Department Head or the General Manager immediately.
- Follow all club safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Team Collaboration:
- Work cooperatively with other housekeeping and facilities staff to ensure coverage and uphold cleanliness standards across all club areas.
- Flexibly adjust work assignments and assist other departments during peak periods or special events.
- Other Duties:
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management, including seasonal deep cleaning, inventory counts, or assisting with club projects.
· Physical Requirements: Lifting, bending, standing, pushing, and walking for extended periods of time.
Role can be either Full-Time or Part-Time. Full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, vision, and life benefits with employer contribution.
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
