What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmworkers & Laborers, Crop, Nursery, Greenhouse position at Cane Creek Berry Farm?
This business will need help during harvest and maintenance of orchard after harvest. They will also help with maintenance of beehives. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; construct structures to support plant growth; direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting; haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; maintain grounds and landscaping; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; operate self propelled machinery; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, knives, wrenches, crow bars, air tools, and electric tools; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: beekeeping equipment, dirt moving equipment, forklift, mowers and other landscaping equipment, skid steers, sprayers, spreaders, tillage equipment, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: bees, bushes, fruit, honey.
