Position Overview

Social Media Growth & Strategy Interns will work closely with the Cane Brew marketing and content team to create, edit, and publish engaging social media content.


Primary Responsibilities

• Support the creation, filming, and editing of engaging social media content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

• Conduct research on trending sounds, hashtags, memes, viral formats, and creator-driven trends to inform content strategy.

• Collaborate in brainstorming and strategy sessions to develop creative concepts for content, skits, campaigns, Reels, Shorts, and promotional initiatives.

• Capture behind-the-scenes footage, b-roll, and principal video content at shoots, events, collaborations, and productions.

• Assist in scheduling and organizing social media posts and maintaining content calendars for timely publication.

• Write compelling captions optimized for audience engagement, SEO, and interaction.

• Monitor and report on comments, messages, engagement metrics, and audience interactions to identify emerging trends.

• Provide support for influencer outreach, partnership development, and campaign execution.


Communication Duties

• Maintain daily communication through Slack and email during business hours.

• Participate in weekly content planning and strategy.

• Join collaborative brainstorming and creative review sessions.

• Respond promptly to shooting assignments, revisions, scheduling updates, and project deadlines.

• Work actively with the Cane Brew marketing and content team during campaigns, productions, and events.


Time Commitment

10–15 hours per week


Compensation

• This is an unpaid internship.

• Editing interns or those contributing to more than one platform may receive $150–$200 per week.


Internship Dates

• Summer 2026: 05/18/2026 – 08/23/2026

• Fall 2026: 08/24/2026 – 12/06/2026

• Spring 2027: 02/03/2027 – 05/11/2027


Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, Film Production, Graphic Design, or Advertising

• Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube platforms and trends

• Basic experience in content creation, photography, or videography

• Understanding of branding, storytelling, and social media marketing

• Experience with tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve (preferred)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Interest in creator culture, viral marketing, and digital entertainment

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative creative environment

• Basic understanding of analytics, engagement strategies, and audience behavior (preferred)
