Duties
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of irrigation systems to optimize water efficiency and plant health
- Oversee greenhouse operations, including plant propagation, propagation schedules, and climate control management
- Manage growing activities such as planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control to maintain thriving gardens and landscapes
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for planting, trimming, soil preparation, and landscape installation
- Conduct regular lawn care, landscape maintenance, and farming tasks to uphold aesthetic appeal and ecological balance
- Supervise team members in gardening, landscaping, farming, and land management projects to ensure timely delivery of quality work
- Collaborate with clients to develop customized horticultural solutions that meet their aesthetic and functional goals
Qualifications
- Proven experience in irrigation installation and maintenance with a strong understanding of water management principles
- Extensive greenhouse experience including plant propagation, climate regulation, and pest management
- Growing experience across various plants, crops, or gardens with a focus on sustainable practices
- Solid background in gardening, horticulture, lawn care, landscaping or agriculture environments
- Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, pruners, hoes as well as power tools like trimmers or drills safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of farming techniques including soil preparation, crop rotation, and pest control methods
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining safety standards
