Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions efficiently and handle cash, credit, or digital payments with confidence
- Assist customers with product demos to highlight features and benefits, encouraging additional sales through upselling strategies
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure products are stocked neatly on shelves
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management to keep the sales floor well-stocked and inviting
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support team members by supervising store activities when needed, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering roles preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling effective communication with diverse customer bases
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is beneficial
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage confidently with customers and team members
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations
