What We’re Looking For:
Are you a passionate Registered Behavior Technician ready to empower students and schools? Here’s what you’ll need to join our team:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification: Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Additional Requirements: Must comply with Colorado Department of Education (CDE) standards and guidelines for school-based professionals. Maintain current CPR certification. Familiarity with Colorado-specific requirements for supporting students in educational settings is preferred.
- Language Proficiency: Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
Your Role:
As a Registered Behavior Technician, you’ll play a critical role in supporting students’ behavioral success and fostering their growth in educational settings. Your responsibilities will include:
Implement Behavior Plans: Work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to deliver evidence-based interventions and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) designed to support student needs.- Monitor Progress: Collect and document data on student behavior and progress to ensure effective implementation of intervention strategies.
- Support Interventions: Assist in designing, adapting, and executing interventions tailored to Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in collaboration with the educational team.
- Collaborate with Teams: Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and multidisciplinary discussions to provide input on students’ behavioral needs and progress.
- Promote Positive Behavior: Support school staff in creating and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment by modeling and teaching effective behavioral strategies.
