Candlewood Valley is currently looking for qualified Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our team. Looking for caring and compassionate candidates to provide our residents and their families with the superior care delivered by our staff dedicated to the principles of kindness, compassion, customer service and excellence. Candlewood Valley is a 5 Star facility. Located in New Milford CT. We have 148 beds, with two long-term units, a secured memory care unit and a short-term unit. The Registered Nurse Supervisor must have strong clinical and supervisory skills, as well as previous long term care experience.
The Registered Nurse Supervisor has strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, good follow through skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks are required.
The Registered Nurse Supervisor works as a team player with Nursing Staff to provide excellent clinical care and the Registered Nurse Supervisor must demonstrate a willingness to assist others.
RN Nursing Supervisor Responsibilities
· The RN Supervisor is accountable for the administrative, clinical, and professional development of facility personnel for the designated shift.
· The RN Supervisor coordinates, directs, and oversees all aspects of the delivery of nursing care.
· The RN Supervisor demonstrates competence in leadership and relevant clinical experience.
· The RN Supervisor collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals; complies with orders in a timely manner.
· The RN Supervisor conducts unit rounds, ensuring that clinical practices are delivered within the facility's established standards of care.
· The RN Supervisor maintains standards of care in accordance with regulatory agencies.
RN Supervisor Qualifications
· Current CT Registered Nurse License.
· RN must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· The RN Supervisor must have the ability to work as part of a team, while managing multiple tasks in a safe and effective manner.
· The RN Supervisor must be courteous and professional with an exceptional "bedside manner" have a high tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations
The RN Supervisor must have the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce and clientele through sound business decisions, diplomacy and discretion.
- Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Prior long term care experience preferred
