What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Maintenance position at Candlewood Suites Northeast?
We are looking for a hotel Maintenance Person that will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the Building and Guestrooms. This includes but is not limited to the pool filtration system, hotel electronic locks, and other hotel equipment. Knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and machine maintenance is required. Following the Preventative Maintenance program and brand standards is mandatory. The General Maintenance Worker must be available on weekends and for Call Backs after hours due to an emergency, guest issue and/or weather-related issues.
This job requires the ability to perform the following:
- Good Customer Service Skills.
- Carrying, lifting, pulling or pushing items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently standing up and moving about the facility.
- Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
- Frequently walking up and downstairs.
- Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and crawling.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical skills, preventative maintenance procedures and reasonable understanding of building equipment and hand tools.
- Communication skills are used frequently when interacting with the other hotel staff and hotel guests.
- Trash pickup, unloading and storing deliveries.
- Reading and writing abilities are used to document or record all tasks completed, to order supplies, to receive instructions for the day or to read equipment repair manuals.
- Mathematical skills, including basic math are used frequently.
- Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or holidays.
Experience:
- Must be legally allowed to work in the United States and provide proof as required by Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Form I-9.
- Previous Experience Required (Minimum 1-3 years)
- Knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Ice Machine maintenance, Washer and Dryer Maintenance, Pool/Spa filtration system, Hotel electronic locks and other Hotel equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read and understand routine instructions, manuals, job-aids, schedules and be organized.
- Ability to comply with Management Policies and Brand Standards.
- All associates must be professional and hospitable at all times and maintain a professional appearance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.50 - $11.00 per hour
