Duties
- Perform floor cleaning and maintenance using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques to ensure spotless, safe surfaces.
- Handle chemical agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures for sanitation and floor care products.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks, including moving furniture, supplies, and equipment efficiently and safely.
- Maintain cleanliness in guest rooms, hallways, service areas, and public spaces through vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and detailed cleaning.
- Support hotel housekeeping management by restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring sanitation standards are met consistently.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to protect guests and staff.
- Use custodial experience to uphold high standards of cleanliness while practicing safe manual handling techniques at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in floor cleaning, janitorial work, or hotel housekeeping management with a focus on sanitation.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation (including vacuuming machines), and chemical handling protocols.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during custodial tasks.
- Experience with hotel housekeeping management or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated understanding of safety data sheets (SDS), chemical agent handling, and sanitation standards necessary for maintaining a hygienic space.
