Job Summary:
The Night Auditor oversees front desk responsibilities during the overnight shift and performs end-of-day accounting procedures. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys quiet, focused work, can work independently, and is committed to guest satisfaction and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist guests arriving or departing during overnight hours
- Perform nightly audit of hotel transactions and balance all daily reports
- Run and distribute daily reports for management and departments
- Process guest payments, adjustments, and folios accurately
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism
- Monitor property safety and security; perform regular property walks
- Ensure lobby and front desk areas are clean, quiet, and welcoming
- Communicate with day shift team about any special guest or maintenance issues
- Follow IHG brand standards, safety protocols, and cash handling policies
Qualifications:
- Prior hotel or customer service experience preferred; night audit experience a plus
- Strong math and computer skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and remain alert during overnight hours
- Reliable, professional, and self-motivated
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework is a plus
