Guest Service Agent (Part-Time)

Candlewood Suites by IHG – Mankato is a welcoming extended-stay hotel offering comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. As a Front Desk Agent, you are the face of our hotel -responsible for delivering a warm, professional, and efficient experience to all guests from check-in to check-out.

Job Summary:

The Front Desk Agent provides outstanding guest service by greeting guests, managing reservations, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring smooth front desk operations. You will be the first point of contact and a key part of delivering IHG’s hospitality promise.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Check guests in and out using the hotel’s property management system
• Process payments, authorizations, and adjustments accurately
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness
• Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk, lobby, and workspace
• Follow all IHG brand standards and safety protocols
• Complete end-of-shift reports and communicate with the next shift team
• Handle phone calls, reservations, and cancellations efficiently

Qualifications:

• Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred
• Friendly, outgoing, and guest-focused demeanor
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning hotel software (training provided)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent required
