What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Services Representative/Front Desk position at Candlewood Suites Bloomington/Normal?
Candlewood Suites hotels look for down to earth people who are friendly, considerate and reliable. They give guests the freedom to do the things they want but are always on hand to help whatever the task may be.
We are currently seeking a professional and service oriented person to complement our Front Office team. Basic duties would include answering phones, checking guests in / out, providing directions and information, and providing excellent customer service to all guests.
Job Duties Include:
*Providing information to guests about hotel policies, services and amenities.
*Responding to requests from guests for assistance and information about the local area (e.g. directions, places to eat, etc.).
*Selling rooms to “walk-in” customers.
*Entering/changing reservation information on the computer system.
*Posting charges to guest accounts.
*Processing payments from guests.
*Making necessary corrections to guest accounts.
*Informing housekeeping department about room status/availability.
*Listening for and responding to guest complaints.
*Operating hotel phone system
*Cleaning the front desk area.
*Maintaining daily logs.
*Balancing shift work and cash drawers.
*Washing and folding laundry.
*Collecting and taking out trash.
Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent. Some hotel experience preferred but not required. 2-3 references required with application.
Full time availability, if interested, with four shifts a week required. Options include.
Wednesday 1st shift (7am - 3pm) or 2nd shift (3pm -11pm)
Thursday (3pm-11pm)
Friday (7am - 3pm)
Saturday (7am - 3pm)
Sunday (3pm - 11pm)
