Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing to maintain spotless guest rooms, corridors, lobby areas, and public spaces.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering strictly to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, buffers, and other janitorial tools efficiently and safely.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies or equipment to ensure thorough sanitation of all areas.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times.
- Maintain detailed records of sanitation activities, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance for compliance and quality assurance.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries related to cleanliness or facilities with professionalism and courtesy.
Experience
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience within a hotel or hospitality environment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques including floor care and industrial cleaning methods.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards is advantageous.
- Experience handling cleaning chemicals responsibly while following safety guidelines is essential.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Prior experience with hotel emergency procedures ensures readiness in urgent situations.
- Demonstrated commitment to hospitality excellence through previous hotel housekeeping or housekeeping management roles is a plus.
