What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine & Facilities Technician position at CandleScience?
As a Machine & Facilities Technician at CandleScience, you will be tasked with installing, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing equipment; as well as assisting with facilities maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, service, and conduct repairs on industrial production machines.
- Maintains a clean and organized workshop and storage area.
- Sources and order replacement parts.
- Reaches out to OEMs for troubleshooting assistance.
- Assists with facilities maintenance tasks.
- Complies with established safety guidelines and procedures.
- Diagnoses electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical problems.
- Devises the best possible solutions to problems in a timely manner.
- Logs equipment failures, device calibrations, and parts replacement.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong analytical and problem solving
- Excellent ability to explain problems and solutions
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Identify and understand basic tools and components used in industrial manufacturing
- Basic understanding of electrical theory, circuit analysis, and ability to read electrical diagrams
- Be able to communicate effectively and professionally on the telephone and via email
- Must be able to lift up to 100lbs to waist level occasionally
- May need to occasionally crawl and/or lay under machines
- Must be able to operate heavy equipment including scissor lift and boom lift
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk several miles within a day
