Innkeeper / Front Desk Agent
Position Overview
We’re looking for a warm, reliable, and detail-oriented Innkeeper / Front Desk Agent to be the face of our boutique hotel. This role blends traditional front desk responsibilities with light innkeeping and guest experience duties. You’ll welcome guests, manage reservations, assist with daily operations, and help create a genuinely comfortable, memorable stay for every guest.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, problem-solving, and working in a close-knit hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities Guest Services & Front Desk
- Greet guests with genuine hospitality and professionalism
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries
- Manage reservations, room assignments, and payments using the PMS
- Answer phones, emails, and messages in a timely and friendly manner
- Resolve guest concerns calmly and efficiently, escalating when needed
Innkeeping & Daily Operations
- Perform daily property walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, comfort, and presentation
- Coordinate with housekeeping on room readiness, special requests, and stayovers
- Restock lobby, coffee stations, guest amenities, and supplies as needed
- Monitor noise levels, guest activity, and overall property safety
- Assist with light breakfast setup, snack service, or evening touches (property-dependent)
Administrative & Support Duties
- Process basic reports, cash handling, and end-of-shift logs
- Track lost & found items and guest notes
- Support special occasions, amenities, or packages for guests
- Assist management with operational tasks as needed

- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a small, fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working independently and making sound judgment calls
- Basic computer skills; PMS experience is a plus (training provided)
- Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Experience
- Previous hotel, hospitality, or customer service experience
- Experience in boutique hotels, inns, or small properties a plus
- Cash handling and reservation system experience helpful but not required
Physical & Scheduling Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the property during shifts
- Occasional light lifting (supplies, linens, packages)
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
