We are currently seeking a Senior Business Consultant who will be responsible for functioning as both the primary strategic consultant for top firms affiliated with Cetera Wealth Management and a partner of value to increase the firm’s competitiveness, align growth and achieve success. This role will mobilize resources, solutions and teams around key stakeholders of firm relationships (internally and externally) by acting as a business consultant with expertise on strategic assessments and industry knowledge, strategic growth planning and execution (especially large enterprise firms), and business value maximization. Locations targeted that we will be adjacent to our Cetera hub in Dallas, TX
What you will do:
External Business Partner engagement (Financial Professional-Facing)
- Through a standardized strategic planning process, assess and consult enterprise partner firms on short, medium- and long-term goals; document areas to improve, develop or adapt; score and improve level of engagement; leverage Cetera solutions and third party partners; and customize an effective communications strategy
- Use our knowledge of Cetera Wealth Management best practices and Growth360 research to identify and expand a firm’s lines of business and pursue new opportunities for greater share of wallet and new client acquisition initiatives
- Design, develop and implement annual top tier enterprise firm business plans (and supporting materials where required) that establish expectations and engagement of Financial Professional relationships with Cetera stakeholders (ex: document business growth goals and clearly define succession plans)
Internal Business Partner Engagement (Cetera-facing) and Strategic Initiative Support
- Support internal growth-focused strategic initiatives that enhance our consulting solutions, specifically those focused on supporting our largest firms/enterprises (utilizing firm and individual Financial Professional relationships to ensure value delivery for each initiative). This should include developing and continuously improving our firm-based approach throughout our advisor growth journey.
- Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to support development of Cetera’s growth vision; work across teams to drive maximum value both in near-term revenue generation and long-term enterprise value
- Support Cetera channel growth teams by providing specialized advice to their leadership, both reactively and proactively.
- Support Cetera channel growth teams in specific campaigns across all channels (i.e., annual business planning).
- Act as a ‘voice of the advisor’ and advocate on their behalf when working with internal team members at Cetera, specifically focused on our largest enterprises
- Be accountable and support common firm goals
- Develop, scale, and leverage ‘best practices’ utilized by top tier firms
- Collect, prioritize and catalog current and future consulting-focused solution needs of top firms to guide Cetera business growth strategies
What you will have:
- 10 years in a Wealth Management, Relationship Management, Sales or Territory leadership role (Avantax Wealth Management or similar experience preferred)
- Comfort working with, analyzing, and leveraging data to support our consultative growth focus
- Ability to prioritize solutions, drive results, and influence senior leaders in a cross-functional, diverse environment while using industry insights to help firms grow with purpose and intent
- Ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations and content to senior internal and external audiences
- FINRA 7, 63, 66 (or 63/65) licenses required
- MBA, CFA, CFP, CIMA, CPWA or other industry designations preferred
- BS/BA/BBA in business, finance, economics, accounting, or related field

Travel Requirements: Estimated travel commitment: 25-30% (including but not limited to National and Regional Conferences)
Compensation: The base annual salary range for this role is $91,000 to $149,000 plus a performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
