Internship Overview
This onsite summer internship is designed to provide hands on exposure to the financial services industry. Interns will work closely with advisors and internal teams, gaining practical experience while learning how Cetera supports advisors and clients. The program offers a strong foundation for students interested in pursuing a future career as a Financial Advisor or in other roles within the financial services industry, while experiencing Cetera’s culture and business firsthand.
Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports
• Support the team with market research and basic financial modeling
• Participate in client meetings, discussions, and presentations
• Assist with the development of financial strategies and plans
• Perform administrative and operational tasks to support advisors and team members
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operations
• Gain exposure to investment solutions and how they are implemented to help fulfill client needs
• Learn how advisors partner with clients to deliver financial planning and investment services
Required Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Work Environment
This internship is based onsite in St. Cloud, with an expectation of 4 days per week in the office, providing interns with direct access to advisors, mentorship, and real time learning opportunities.
Location: St. Cloud, MN (Onsite – 4 days per week in office)
Start Date: June 1, 2026
Duration: Approximately 8–10 weeks
Compensation Range:
The base hourly pay for this role is $20.00. Base pay depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base pay may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
