Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Painter Helper to assist experienced painters on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various painting and construction-related tasks. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, dependable, and capable of working safely in diverse environments. Prior construction site experience and familiarity with hand and power tools are a plus but not required. This role plays a vital part in supporting painting crews during renovation, restoration, and new construction projects Monday -Friday 6:00am-2:30pm! This is not your average W-2 Job this is 10-99 position!
Duties
- Assist with surface preparation including sanding, scraping, and cleaning surfaces before painting
- Mix paints and primers according to project specifications, understanding basic math for measurements
- Set up and operate hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, sprayers, caulking guns, and scaffolding equipment
- Support the application of various coatings including residential, commercial
- Perform minor repairs such as caulking or patching surfaces to ensure quality finishes
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents on the construction site
Experience
- Prior experience in construction painting or related trades is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for those eager to learn
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and basic construction techniques is preferred
- Knowledge of color theory, schematics, blueprint reading, and renovation processes enhances performance but is not required for entry-level candidates
- Experience with plastering, stucco application, fixture installation, or welding is a plus but not necessary
- Candidates should demonstrate good physical stamina to work outdoors or in confined spaces for extended periods and possess basic math skills for measurements and calculations
