What are the responsibilities and job description for the E-Commerce Web-To-Print Specialist position at Candid Color Systems?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically minded E-Commerce Web-to-Print Specialist to help build, operate, and grow multiple storefronts on e-commerce platforms, with production flowing through print lab production software. This role is responsible for configuring products/templates, ensuring clean order handoffs to production, and maintaining reliable, high-quality customer experiences. The ideal candidate brings ecommerce/CMS ownership, solid print literacy (prepress fundamentals), and a knack for documentation and QA.
Key Responsibilities:
- · Configure products and attributes in ecommerce platforms; build/maintain editable templates (MegaEdit), set up image-upload rules, and QA end-to-end purchase flows.
- · Monitor and move jobs through print lab production software, resolve exceptions, and keep production stakeholders informed with clear notes.
- · Perform light prepress tasks as needed (preflight, color checks, bleed/trim fixes, simple imposition) to ensure files are print-ready.
- · Collaborate with Marketing, Programming, and Production to align product specs, lead times, and handoff requirements.
- · Maintain accurate documentation/SOPs for repeatable product setups and storefront operations.
- · Assist with pricing tiers/promotions and thoroughly test that storefront pricing behaves as expected.
- · Partner with internal stakeholders and client contacts to scope catalogs, pricing tiers, approval flows, and service expectations; support onboarding and relationship handoffs as needed.
- Qualifications:
- · Experience in ecommerce operations or web/CMS administration, ideally in a print or manufacturing context.
- · Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud for production-level fixes/exports and strong print fundamentals (resolution/DPI, bleed, color).
- · Ability to learn and operate Infigo and HP PrintOS Site Flow efficiently, strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred:
- · Hands-on experience with Infigo (admin/MegaEdit) and Site Flow job onboarding/production tracking.
- · Light familiarity with HTML/CSS and general website design—comfortable in WYSIWYG builders and not afraid to read/adjust code when needed (no JavaScript required).
- · Exposure to branding basics (logos, typography, color theory) is a plus but not required.
- · RIP concepts and digital print workflows; understanding how design decisions affect press/finishing.
- · Experience with both B2C storefronts and B2B portals; basic SEO/analytics familiarity.
- · Direct client-facing or print-broker experience: prospecting or nurturing relationships, gathering requirements, tailoring catalogs/pricing, and managing expectations.
- · Comfort documenting SOPs/checklists and contributing to continuous improvement of storefronts and production handoffs.
- · Awareness of finishing workflows (cutting, binding) and job ticketing/press queuing.
