Job Title: Phlebotomist
We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team at Cancer Specialists of North Florida in Neptune Beach, FL.
The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients using a variety of techniques, including venipuncture. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and obtain necessary background information.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Blood collection experience (venipuncture) in a clinical or hospital setting
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to maintain inventory and supplies
- Familiarity with safety practices and quality control procedures
Certification as a phlebotomist is required. If not certified, at least one year of directly related experience is required, including three months of practice in a clinical, hospital, or laboratory setting. A Phlebotomy Certificate or MA/LPN/RN Licensure from the State of Florida is also acceptable without prior experience.
