Job Description
Cancer Services is seeking two part-time Patient Services Coordinators to provide compassionate, patient-centered support to individuals undergoing cancer treatment and their caregivers. This role is a vital part of our mission and serves as a primary point of contact for patients accessing services.
The Patient Services Coordinator will conduct patient intakes, coordinate services, maintain accurate and confidential records, and work closely with healthcare providers, referral sources, volunteers, and community partners to ensure patients receive timely and supportive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake interviews and assess service needs
- Coordinate services and communicate with healthcare providers and referral sources
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and service documentation
- Track services provided, costs, and frequency; assist with monthly reporting
- Respond compassionately to patient and caregiver questions or concerns
- Assist patients with wigs and mastectomy items through the Cancer Services boutique
- Support inventory management and obtain requested items proactively
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers for office and warehouse needs
- Assist with volunteer coordination for special events
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of two years’ experience in healthcare, social services, nonprofit, or customer service-related roles
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Compassionate and calm demeanor when working with individuals experiencing emotional distress
- Ability to lift 20 pounds
- Ability to pass a background check

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
