POSITION SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Finance & Analytics provides strategic financial leadership and enterprise-level analytical insight for CCSF and the Tampa General Hospital Cancer Institute (TGHCI). This role ensures the oncology service line operates sustainably, delivers high-quality patient care, and aligns with the CCSF and TGHCI’s financial and strategic priorities. The VP partners closely with the CFO, VP – Pharmacy, VP – Revenue Cycle, operations leadership, and physician leaders to optimize infusion, radiation and surgical operations, manage high-cost drug utilization, strengthen revenue cycle performance, and support growth across the cancer care continuum.

Core Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and direct financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling for oncology services, with accountability for overall financial performance.
- Oversee and evaluate financial and operational performance, including profitability, reimbursement, and resource utilization, and drive strategic actions to optimize outcomes.
- Partner directly with the CFO to co-develop, shape, and execute oncology financial strategy, ensuring alignment with system-wide goals, capital planning, and long-term sustainability.
- Direct revenue cycle performance for oncology services, identifying risks (e.g., denials, reimbursement challenges) and implementing strategies to optimize financial results.
- Lead the development and deployment of analytics, reporting, and key performance indicators to inform executive decision-making and enterprise planning.
- Oversee integration and utilization of data across systems to ensure a comprehensive, enterprise-wide view of financial and operational performance.
- Direct collaboration with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to drive efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and improve patient access across oncology services.
- Ensure organizational compliance with applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and policies, maintaining strong internal controls and audit readiness.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams across finance and analytics functions, establishing priorities and ensuring execution of strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a senior strategic advisor to the CFO and executive leadership, providing guidance and driving decisions related to oncology financial and operational performance.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field required
- Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MHA, or related discipline) preferred
- Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare finance, including experience in complex healthcare environments such as oncology, specialty care, hospitals, or physician group operations preferred
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, FACHE, HFMA) preferred
- Knowledge of oncology healthcare economics, including infusion drug management, radiation oncology, surgical services, reimbursement models, payer contracting, and physician revenue cycle operations.
- Knowledge of healthcare analytics and business intelligence practices, including the use of data to support financial, operational, and strategic decision-making.
- Skilled in financial modeling, forecasting, and complex problem-solving.
- Skilled in translating complex financial and analytical information into clear, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
- Skilled in executive-level communication and relationship management, with the ability to influence decision-making.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
