Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks following company recipes
- Operate coffee brewing equipment with precision and care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and dining area
- Provide excellent customer service, including taking orders and handling transactions
- Upsell products and promote special items to customers
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks in the kitchen as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience in a barista role or similar position is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic math for handling transactions and measuring ingredients
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitate work areas according to food safety standards
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Culinary background or interest in food handling is a plus
- Willingness to learn and help out in various areas of the cafe
