Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive fire safety programs tailored to manufacturing operations. Conduct regular fire risk assessments and safety audits; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Establish and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, emergency communication, and coordination with local emergency services. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire detection and suppression systems, including sprinklers, alarms, extinguishers, and emergency lighting. Lead fire drills and emergency response training sessions for all employees; ensure readiness and compliance. Collaborate with facility management and safety teams to integrate fire safety into overall EHS strategies. Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local fire codes and regulations (e.g., NFPA standards, OSHA). Investigate fire incidents, near misses, or emergency events; prepare reports and recommend preventive measures. Manage fire safety equipment inventories and ensure availability of proper firefighting resources. Serve as liaison with local fire departments, emergency responders, and regulatory agencies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire safety technologies, trends, and best practices relevant to manufacturing. Prepare and present safety reports and performance metrics to senior management. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Fire Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. Manufacturing experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. Professional certification such as Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or equivalent is a plus. 5-8 years of experience in fire safety and emergency response, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Able to assist the manager with trainings, reports, and other duties. In-depth knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and standards (NFPA, OSHA, local fire codes). Strong leadership and training skills; ability to conduct effective drills and safety training. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations. Proficient in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Working Conditions: Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, chemicals, and potentially hazardous conditions.
