Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Recognize the different project steps within Canadian Solar Process to source new Direct Materials (BOM Materials)
- Recognize the different standards requested by Quality, Production and Engineering systems within Canadian solar to ensure product will meet all standards.
- Understand and Develop Best scope of work to be fulfilled by Service provider and suppliers.
- Be able to recognize product limitations in a given market and understand critical parts of a given product to identify capable vendors
- Understanding Market situation for a given product
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality.
- Understand supplier capacities and competitive advantages.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly and provide Root analysis with plans to resolve in short term and prevent in long term
- Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in quality, costs, and delivery.
- Oversee the procurement process, from requisition to delivery.
- Run Internal approval process for full transparency
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide strategic resources
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Analytics, or related discipline
- Proven experience in supply chain management, sourcing, and procurement roles for more than 7 years
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of supply chain software and analytics tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working experience of SAP or Other MRP’s
