Job Summary:
The Industrial Engineer will work on large-scale manufacturing projects, including GW-level advanced manufacturing or renewable energy facilities. The engineer will work closely with engineers engineers on tasks such as production line planning, capacity analysis, and process optimization.
Responsibilities
- :Manufacturing System & Line Plannin
- gLead and support production line planning for solar cell manufacturin
- gDevelop and optimize line layout, material flow, and space utilizatio
- nPerform takt time analysis, cycle time analysis, and capacity modelin
- gDefine standard production capacity (UPH, shift capacity, line balance
- )Support equipment placement, footprint definition, and expansion plannin
- gData Analysis & Process Optimizatio
- nAnalyze manufacturing data, including cycle time, UPH, OEE, yield, and bottleneck
- sConduct statistical and quantitative analysis to identify improvement opportunitie
- sSupport cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and productivity enhancement initiative
- sParticipate in continuous improvement projects (Lean, line balancing, waste reduction
- )Cross‑Functional & Project Coordinatio
- nWork closely with process, equipment, facilities, and production team
- sCoordinate with Asian engineering teams and US site teams to align on design assumptions and implementatio
- nSupport on‑site engineering activities, follow up on action items, and track deliverable
- sProvide IE input during equipment move‑in, line ramp‑up, and production launch phase
- sProject management and coordination of different teams (Chinese team and US team) to communicate design proposal
- sCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support on-site engineering activities and follow up on action item
sQualifications and Experience
- :Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related engineering fiel
- d2 years of industrial engineering experience in manufacturing environment
- sStrong understanding of manufacturing system design and line layout plannin
- gProficiency in AutoCAD (2D layout and equipment placement
- )Strong Excel skills for data analysis (capacity models, calculations, tracking
- )Solid analytical and problem‑solving skill
- sAbility to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple prioritie
- sEffective communication skills in English (written and verbal
)Preferre
- dExperience in photovoltaic, semiconductor, electronics, or high‑volume manufacturin
