AWS/CES is looking for an HVAC Mechanical Technician for our automotive manufacturing client
- Location: Fort Wayne, IN
- Pay rate: up to $36.50/hr
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- EPA Certification Required
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems throughout the facility.
- Troubleshoot and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose system issues using technical knowledge, testing equipment, and established troubleshooting procedures.
- Perform inspections, adjustments, component replacements, and equipment installations as needed.
- Respond to HVAC service calls and equipment issues while minimizing facility downtime and maintaining comfortable operating conditions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed maintenance, repairs, inspections, and equipment conditions.
- Follow all safety procedures, maintenance standards, and facility requirements while performing work.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an HVAC Technician, HVAC Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and troubleshooting methods.
- Experience working with commercial, industrial, or manufacturing HVAC equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, equipment manuals, and schematics.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and preventative maintenance practices.
- HVAC certification or applicable trade credentials preferred.
