Analysts play an integral role in supporting the origination and execution of mergers & acquisitions as well as equity and financing mandates. Junior members of the team enjoy considerable responsibility throughout the course of each deal, and work closely with the firm’s equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and sponsors coverage groups as well as research teams.   

This role supports deal teams in the Technology, Media, Marketing & Information Services Investment Banking group, based in Charlotte, NC and begins July 2027.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Support the execution of equity and debt financings, M&A, and restructuring and recapitalization transactions
• Learn and perform financial valuation, discounted cash flow, pro forma merger, precedent transaction, and comparable companies’ analyses
• Prepare pitch books and live deal materials, including offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations, and prospectuses
• Analyze detailed corporate and financial information, as well as conduct due diligence
• Develop client relationships through deal execution and pitching

PREFERRED BACKGROUND:

• Bachelor of Arts or Science degree from a leading college or university
• Finance, Accounting or Economics majors preferred
• Prior internship experience in financial services, particularly in investment banking, is a plus

• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient in performing basic financial analyses, and possessing accounting skills / knowledge
• Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work on a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
• Resourceful self-starter; able to work autonomously
• Demonstrated team player
