What are the responsibilities and job description for the Science Teacher position at Canaan Schools?
Canaan Schools is looking for an enthusiastic educator to teach Science to students in grades 9-12 in a NEW 21st Century Science Lab currently being engineered for the 2021-2022 school year. This small preK-12 institution is a comprehensive high school with a Career Center offering 5 Programs located in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Canaan's student population is approximately 200 students located in a small rural community of ~ 1200 with a local outdoor environment that is rugged and pristine.
Canaan Schools has a very successful dual enrollment system through New Hampshire's Running Start Program, and many students graduate high school with a semester or more of earned college credits. Master's level educators that are qualified to teach these courses are eligible to receive additional compensation up to $5,000.
