What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Weekend Caregiver position at Canaan Care LLC?
Job Responsibilities
As a Weekend CMT/Caregiver, you may be assigned to various healthcare settings where you will:
- Safely administer medications within the scope of your Maryland CMT certification.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
- Observe and report changes in clients’ condition.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Follow individualized care plans and medication protocols.
- Communicate professionally with nurses, supervisors and other healthcare professionals.
- Promote clients’ dignity, independence and wellbeing.
- Comply with all company policies and HIPAA requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Active Maryland Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Weekend availability (Saturday and/or Sunday).
Preferred:
- Previous caregiving, assisted living, nursing home, home care or direct support experience.
Schedule
- Weekend shifts
- Saturday and/or Sunday
- Approximately 12–20 hours per week
- Additional shifts may become available.
Pay
$17.00–$20.00 per hour
