Position Summary
As an Industrial Electrician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing electrical systems across high-speed aluminum can production lines. You’ll be responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. This position also supports equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.

Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Maintain and repair electrical components such as motors, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, encoders, and control systems
- Diagnose and resolve issues within high-speed can manufacturing equipment
- Work with 380VAC and 24VDC systems, including servo drives, VFDs, and electro-mechanical controls
- Follow OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards
- Perform arc flash assessments and adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inspection records
- Partner with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to resolve equipment issues
- Identify opportunities to improve system reliability and reduce downtime
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Assist with tracking and managing electrical spare parts inventory
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience (high-speed manufacturing or packaging preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo systems
- Familiarity with industrial communication networks such as Profibus or Profinet is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting ability with motor controls, drives, and industrial sensors
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic
- Working knowledge of instrumentation (pressure, level, temperature)
- Detail-oriented problem solver
- Team-focused with strong collaboration skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to document and report findings
- Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or Master)
- OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or equivalent safety certifications
- Diploma or associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electricity, or a related field
- Apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on training preferred
