Position Summary: This role is responsible for leading installation teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, maintaining efficiency, and delivering top-tier customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

 

Key Responsibilities:

HVAC Installation & Execution

·        Lead a team of installers in properly installing HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, ductwork, and air conditioning units.

·        Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications, local building codes, and company quality standards.

·        Perform system start-ups, testing, and quality assurance checks to verify proper operation and efficiency.

·        Troubleshoot installation issues and make necessary adjustments for optimal system performance.

Team Leadership & Training

·        Supervise, mentor, and train installation team members to develop their technical skills and efficiency.

·        Assign tasks and ensure team members follow safety protocols and best practices.

·        Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and excellence in craftsmanship.

·        Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.

Customer Service & Communication

·        Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.

·        Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, and warranty information.

·        Address customer concerns or questions and escalate complex issues to management when necessary.

·        Conduct post-installation inspections to ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Sales & Business Growth Support

·        Identify and recommend additional services, upgrades, or maintenance agreements to customers.

·        Work closely with the sales team to provide technical insights and support for installation estimates.

·        Maintain accurate records of completed jobs and any additional services recommended.

Safety & Compliance

·        Follow OSHA and company safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

·        Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring proper disposal of materials and debris.

·        Ensure all necessary permits and inspections are completed for regulatory compliance.

Equipment, Vehicle, & Inventory Management

·        Maintain an accurate inventory of installation materials, tools, and equipment.

·        Update equipment information including serial and model numbers in CRM.

·        Report any missing or damaged tools/equipment to management.

·        Ensure company vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and properly stocked at all times.

·        Conduct routine vehicle inspections, reporting any necessary repair or maintenance needs.

·        Follow company vehicle policies regarding safe driving practices, gas usage, and equipment storage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

·        Call Back Ratio: Not to exceed 5% – Maintain high-quality installations that minimize the need for return service calls.

·        Upsell Conversion: Minimum of 10% – Identify and successfully recommend system upgrades, accessories, or service agreements to enhance customer experience.

·        Quality Checks: Above 90% – Ensure all installations meet or exceed company and industry quality standards, verified through inspections and customer feedback.

·        Job Run Over Time: Not to exceed 10% – Complete installations within estimated job timeframes, ensuring efficiency while maintaining quality (excluding unforeseen issues).

  • Install Completion Forms in Service Titan Job Completion Rate: 100%

Qualifications:

·        Experience: Minimum 5 years of HVAC installation experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

·        Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC trade school program is a plus.

·        Certifications:

o   NATE Certification (Preferred).

o   OSHA 10 or 30 Certification (Preferred).

·        Skills & Abilities:

o   Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and controls.

o   Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions.

o   Excellent leadership and teamwork skills.

o   Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

o   Proficiency with hand and power tools used in HVAC installation.

·        Other Requirements:

o   Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions.

o   Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and occasional weekends.

Driver’s License & Driving Requirements:

  • A valid and current California driver’s license is required for this position.
  • Employees must maintain a clean driving record that meets the standards outlined in the company’s Fleet Usage Policy.
  • Driving records are reviewed upon hire and no less than every six months thereafter.
  • Any employee with a suspended or revoked license must immediately notify management and will be restricted from operating a company vehicle.
  • Continued eligibility to drive a company vehicle is subject to ongoing compliance with vehicle safety and insurance standards.
