Can-Am Electric is seeking a reliable and experienced Electrician to perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on commercial construction projects. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced jobsite environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial construction settings
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Run conduit, pull wire, and install panels, switchgear, lighting, and devices
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions
• Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, safety standards, and project requirements
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
• Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA requirements
Qualifications
• 3 years of electrical experience (commercial preferred)
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
• Journeyman license (or working toward it)
• Experience on large commercial or multi-family projects
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
