We are seeking an Administrative Assistant I to support the Naval Medical Research Unit - Dayton (NAMRU-D) in Dayton, Ohio. Responsibilities
- Completes Department of Defense forms for documentation of receipt of purchased goods.
- Routes forms for signatures from requesting officials and files the completed forms in purchasing documentation folders.
- Reviews monthly purchase card closeout documentation, ensuring completion and accuracy of all documentation.
- Devises and maintains tracking mechanism to track the correction of missing or incomplete documentation and coordinates with purchase cardholders to ensure corrections are made.
- Conducts basic office functions such as answering telephones, taking messages, and welcoming and escorting visitors.
- Receives and routes mail and other deliveries; records and types meeting minutes; manages conference room schedules; and coordinates meeting preparations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma.
- At least two (2) years of administrative experience.
- Proficient in basic office functions of answering telephones, taking messages, and welcoming and escorting visitors.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel software programs.
- Experienced with computer software, including the Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Windows programs.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
