Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash drawer handling
- Upsell products and promote store promotions or product demos to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of store products, merchandising standards, and current promotions to assist customers effectively
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the checkout area is clean and inviting
- Answer customer inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette and direct them to appropriate departments when needed
Requirements
- Prior experience with POS systems, cash register operations, or cashiering is preferred but not mandatory—training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash handling and retail math accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for supporting team efforts during busy periods
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for retail transactions
