What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract EIC Technician position at Campos EPC LLC?
We are looking for a detail-oriented EIC Technician to join our team in Amherst and this will be a 6 month contract to hire position. The EIC Technician supports the fabrication, wiring, and commissioning of renewable natural gas (RNG) skids by installing electrical and instrumentation components, performing field wiring, and terminating devices into control panels. This role includes occasional control panel fabrication and close collaboration with engineering and automation teams to ensure high-quality, safe, and code-compliant systems.

Perform electrical and instrumentation wiring on RNG skids, including routing, pulling, and securing cables and conduit
- Terminate field devices (instruments, motors, valves, analyzers, etc.) into control panels, junction boxes, and marshalling panels
- Build and modify control panels as needed, including component mounting, wiring, labeling, and checkout
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and P&IDs
- Assist with continuity checks, point-to-point verification, and basic pre-commissioning support
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, NFPA, and applicable safety and quality standards
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and accurate as-built documentation
- Collaborate with engineers, automation technicians, and project teams to meet schedule and quality expectations
- Technical degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in electrical, instrumentation, or controls work
- Hands-on experience with industrial wiring, control panels, or skid-based systems
- Familiarity with 24VDC and 120/240VAC control systems and instrumentation loops
- Ability to independently follow drawings and work instructions
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and test equipment (multimeter, continuity tester, etc.)
- Experience with RNG, oil & gas, biogas, or process industry skids
- Exposure to PLC panels, networking components, and industrial sensors
- Panel shop or UL 508A panel-building experience
- Ability to work on the shop floor and around industrial equipment
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to typical industrial limits
- Attention to detail and strong commitment to safety
Salary: $26-32/hr (Commensurate with experience)
