Camping World & Good Sam’s legal team is seeking a strategic and process-oriented thinker who can efficiently lead a wide array of pre-litigation, litigation, regulatory, and investigative matters across a broad set of disciplines, including employment litigation, commercial litigation, consumer litigation, class action litigation, and state and federal regulatory investigations and complaints. This role requires strong cross functional collaboration, project management skills, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and an interest in innovating the role of an in-house litigator through technology. This position will report to Camping World & Good Sam’s VP, Associate General Counsel.
Responsibilities
The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below.
Pay Range
$147,800.00-$226,600.00 Annual

Responsibilities
- Litigation:
- Manage day-to-day litigation portfolio (~75-100 matters) consisting of commercial, employment, consumer, and class action lawsuits, and regulatory investigations and complaints from inception through trial and appeal.
- Leverage deep-seated litigation expertise to effectively direct outside counsel and lead internal team to provide decisive leadership on complex legal matters, ensuring tactical decisions are filtered through a strategiv lens and understanding of longterm business impacts.
- Business Partnership & Counseling:
- Build and sustain meaningful trust-based relationships with cross functional teams, including sales, service, marketing, and HR to enhance compliance and business alignment. Proactively analyze litigation and operational data to identify emerging trends, providing preventative counsel and training to mitigate risk before it escalates.
- Provide effective counsel on a variety of employment law issues arising throughout the employee lifecycle, including hiring, wage and hour compliance, performance management, discipline, internal investigations, leave absence management, compensation, wage and hour compliance, discrimination, harassment and termination.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of employment related agreements, including employment contracts, severance agreements, compensation plans, restrictive covenants, arbitration agreements, and other employment related documents
- Process & Innovation:
- Architect and manage innovative, automated workflows and enhance operational effectiveness across litigation lifecycle, including enhancing playbooks, SOPs, and “smart” document templates.
- Evaluate and implement generative AI and machine learning tools/applications to automate routine tasks to increase speed, accuracy, and performance of the litigation team.
- Utilize predictive analytics and visual dashboards to measure litigation effectiveness and identify trends.
- Leverage data insights to identify and recommend high impact business solutions that reduce systemic risks
- Demonstrates an understanding of business objectives, financial acumen, substantive expertise, and outstanding judgment when advising business partners
- Strong decision-making skills and an ability rapidly identify, analyze, and address complicated issues, and distill that complexity into simple and concise communication in cross-functional settings.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize and manage workload, simultaneous tasks, and meet deadlines in a changing, fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with individuals across diverse business practices.
- Skilled in leading and facilitating both in-person and virtual meetings with stakeholders, including corporate investigations and internal interviews.
- Excellent client management skills, with the ability to partner effectively, inspire confidence and build trust with senior management and other professionals at all levels of the organization
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and member in good standing with Illinois or another state bar
- 5 years of substantive employment and commercial litigation and trial experience, ideally working both a law firm and corporate in-house setting, prior wage and hour litigation experience is a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of litigation and trial rules and practice.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- AI & Legal Tech Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in identifying and integrating Legal AI tools (e.g., LLM-based document review, automated drafting, or predictive analytics) to streamline high-volume litigation workflows and reduce reliance on manual administrative tasks.
