Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products.
- Process transactions accurately using the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash and credit transactions efficiently while maintaining cash handling protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring that merchandise is well-stocked and displayed attractively.
- Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting inventory counts as needed.
- Provide information about promotions, sales, and store policies to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong cash handling skills and familiarity with POS systems are essential.
- Basic math skills are necessary for processing transactions accurately.
